Our mission	Horizon House will serve as Central Indiana’s champion and trusted leader for supporting homeless neighbors to achieve long term self-sufficiency.

Opportunities	Outdoor Landscaping and Cleanup Help with debris cleanup, landscaping, pulling weeds, washing windows, etc. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Physical, Outdoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Clerical Work Help with filing paperwork, addressing envelopes, entering data on computer, etc. Occasional, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Office work On-site Weekdays Kitchen Help with organizing and serving food to the neighbors, as well as cleaning up the kitchen as needed. Occasional, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays Donation Center Sort clothing and items upstairs in our donation center. Also helping to assist in making sure that donation center is clean and organized. Occasional, Monthly Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Indoor On-site Weekdays Dayroom/Front Desk Assisting the Horizon House staff with the daily needs of the neighbors, clearing tables, sweeping, sorting mail, answering questions, retrieving needed items. Items we need	Wish List Items needed Donations of all kinds are accepted! Our wish list provides an up-to-date representation of what our current needs are, and is updated frequently. If you can’t make it to Horizon House to drop off a donation, you can always order and ship something from our Amazon Wish List. If you choose this option, please request that items are delivered during Horizon House business hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7 am – 3 pm and Wednesday: 7 am – 12 pm) to ensure your package gets properly delivered to us. Highlighted Needs High priority items Men’s & women’s boots in all sizes Men’s & women’s jeans in all sizes Men’s & women’s underwear in all sizes Razors Travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion For those in our Housing Program: Housing Food Kits (Example: pasta/spaghetti/noodles, pasta sauce, ramen noodles, cans of soup, cans of vegetables, cans of chili, packages of tuna, peanut butter) Cans that do not require a can opener are preferable Toilet paper and paper towels Multipurpose cleaner, Clorox wipes Mop and broom Dish soap and sponge Laundry detergent Toilet bowl cleaner and brush Trash bags and trash can with lid Household items to help someone get started in their new home: dish sets, pots and pans, can openers, silverware, dish towels, towels, shower curtains, sheet sets (labeled), blankets and pillows, decorative pillows, curtains. New or gently used and without stains. How you help	The Horizon House volunteer program has been dedicated to educating and engaging individuals to become life-long community advocates for the homeless. We believe that ending homelessness is a community effort. That is why we strive to provide a holistic approach to volunteerism that includes both service and learning.

About us	Horizon House is a full-service agency that connects individuals experiencing homelessness with integrated, comprehensive services. We provide a safe place and basic services as they take steps towards a more stable life.
